Other Medicare supplement carriers such as Mutual of Omaha have increased rates by as much as 17%. Mutual of Omaha (AKA United of Omaha and United World) have also pulled Medicare supplement plan N off the market.
Royal Neighbors (RNA), Humana, Aetna and many more have raised rates in the last two years.
Paying Too Much?
If you have not “shopped” your Medigap plan you are probably paying too much.
If you bought the plan an agent sold you as “the best” they probably lied and forced you in to the wrong plan at a high rate.
Most GA seniors are paying their Medigap carrier over $200 per year to cover a $162 one time claim. That makes no sense at all.
They are also paying too much for the wrong Medicare Part D plan. In many cases they should make a change at the next open enrollment and save themselves thousands of dollars per year.
Stop paying too much.
